Mama Bears Fighting

Childhood Cancer

Who Are They?

Mama Bears Fighting Childhood Cancer (MBFCC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting Northern California families with children up to 21 years old who are currently undergoing treatment for childhood cancer. We provide families whose child has an active cancer diagnosis with an MBFCC Hospital Survival Wagon or Clinic Cart based on the family's needs filled with essential items to live more comfortably in the hospital or during long outpatient clinic visits.

We offer a uniquely supportive community for parents and caregivers with a child diagnosed with cancer.  MBFCC provides a safe and private chat community in English and Spanish for parents and caregivers to support each other day and night through the ups and downs of treatment.  MBFCC has an "Angel" support group for parents in our community whose child becomes an angel too soon. The private chat communities are confidential spaces where parents can share and support each other through the good, the bad, the ugly, and so much more. We also host in-person events for parents and their children.

Our goal is to ensure that no parent walks this journey alone, and our motto is, “Carry your family, We’ll carry you!”
